FAQs
What is the difference between a full service wedding planner and a day-of coordinator?
A full service planner works with you every step of the way to negotiate and book your vendors, assist with design and styling, book hotel blocks for your guests, manage RSVPs, and so much more. A day-of coordinator offers support with vendor recommendations, timeline and floor plan creation, and day-of management, but booking the vendors and planning your vision is entirely up to you! We take YOUR plans and turn them into reality during the months leading up to your wedding day.
How many in person visits will I get if I book with A Bride a Day?
We save the in person visit for the final planning meeting that takes place at the venue about one month before wedding day. We are always up for jumping on a call when you need help or advice in the planning process, but we strongly encourage communicating through email for regular correspondence to ensure a proper paper trail is recorded.
How do you manage all my wedding documents?
Upon booking, you will have immediate access to your own Google Drive, complete with many forms that will help you keep track of all the details.
Will my coordinator set up all my decor?
Your coordinator will set up the following items: guest book, pictures, place cards, menus, signage, wedding favors, dance floor props, reserved signs, cake table items, table numbers, memory table items.
These are all standard items that our couples typically provide since they cannot be outsourced by another vendor. We strongly encourage the rest of the decor to be handled by your other wedding vendors (florist, catering, photo booth, draping, lighting, etc.) in order to guarantee that all decor will be set and ready upon guests’ arrival.
I want to DIY my decor. Who can I hire to set everything up?
Upon availability, we offer a separate DIY decor setup package, starting at $500. This includes setup and teardown. We also have a list of wonderful third party vendors that can assist you with your DIY setup.
We never recommend leaving DIY setup to your friends and family. Time is of the essence during setup, so leave the setup to the professionals!
What can I do to ensure everyone is ready for wedding day?
Fill out all the forms on your Google Drive with as much detail as possible! The more details we receive, the fewer questions we will bombard you with before wedding day!
Do you have a list of preferred vendors?
Absolutely! While I love meeting and working with new vendors, I always send my couples my list of preferred vendors upon booking. These are all people whom I love so dearly and know they are top-notch performers before, during, and after wedding day!
